Do I need to know how to play bowls?
Not at all! Barefoot bowls is super easy to learn and our team will walk you through the basics before you start. It’s all about having fun, not being perfect.
How much does Barefoot Bowls cost?
$10 per person
How long does a barefoot bowls session run for?
Most sessions are 2 hours, which gives you plenty of time to play, snack, mingle and relax
Do I need to bring my own equipment?
Nope! We supply all the bowls you need. Just roll up and we’ll take care of the rest.
Can kids play?
Yes! Barefoot bowls is kid-friendly and great for families. We provide smaller bowls and keep the atmosphere relaxed and fun.
What should I wear?
Something comfortable! Most people bowl barefoot, but flat-soled shoes or socks are also fine. Thongs, heels, and heavy boots stay off the green.
Is food available?
Absolutely. You can choose from a range of catering add-ons when you book, including:
• Rinkside plattersour
• Pizzas & hot chips
• Cook-Your-Own BBQ packages
• Gourmet BBQ options
Or simply hire a Weber BBQ and bring your own ingredients. Catering options are available to add when you book online.
Can we bring our own food or drinks?
Outside alcohol is not permitted. Outside food is allowed only if you have hired a BBQ. Otherwise, please order from our catering options.
Do you cater for dietary needs?
Yes — vegetarian and other dietary options are available. Please let us know via the email option on our booking platform or email us directly and we’ll tailor it for you where possible.
What happens if it rains?
You’re covered — literally! Our greens are under a dome, so your session is protected from rain and harsh sun. Barefoot bowls runs in almost all weather. If you prefer some sun, we can arrange for you to play on our outdoor green also – we’ll provide some shade options for you (wine barrel with umbrella)
Is there a minimum group size?
Some catering packages have minimum numbers, but barefoot bowls itself does not. You can book for just a couple of friends or a whole crew.
How do I book?
Bookings are done online via our website. Choose your session, add catering, and lock it in — all in a few clicks. If you prefer, you can also call or email our Club directly
Do you accept corporate or workplace bookings?
Absolutely. Barefoot bowls is ideal for team building, break-ups, celebrations and social clubs. We can accommodate large groups and tailor catering to suit your needs.
Can we stay longer than 2 hours?
If you’d like extra time, just let us know when booking. We’ll do our best to extend your session depending on availability.
Is the venue accessible?
Yes — our clubrooms and greens have accessible entry and flat surfaces suitable for wheelchairs and mobility aids.
If any damage is done to the greens during a social event it is the responsibility of the Organisation/people hiring the facilities to cover the cost of the repair.
The Green Keeper and/ or the Club Staff have the right to remove any persons not complying with the enclosed rules from the green and/or Club rooms.
The Club must abide by the Rules and Responsible Serving of Alcohol. Due to licensing regulation, we do not allow you to bring your own supply of alcohol or soft drinks onto the premises.
New Smoking Laws now in place, requires that no person is to smoke in an area food is being prepared/ cooked and eaten. During the time of the BBQ in use and being eaten no one will be able to smoke on the deck area.
✔ No dumping of bowls – dropping your bowl when bowling (can damage the greens).
✔ No playing your bowl like skittles or 10 [in bowling (allow the bowl to roll out of your hand onto the green).
✔ Bowls are to be played in an organised manner.
✔ Smoking, drinking and eating are not permitted on the playing surfaces.
✔ Designated areas for smoking – Rear deck (ONLY when food isn’t being consumed or cooked) Shelters around the greens that are clearly marked.
✔ Drinks are allowed on the banks/surrounds of the greens but must not be taken onto the playing surface.
✔ Foreign objects must not be taken onto the greens.
✔ No running on or around the greens.
✔ Children under 12 must be supervised at all times.
✔ All equipment used – Mats, jacks to be returned to the appropriate place when finished.
Dress code
✔ Relaxed dress – neat casual, no swim wear
✔ Bare feet, socks, flat soled shoes (no runners)
✔ No Singlets/sleeveless shirts (men) in the club house
✔ No hats in the club rooms
